Project continuation and incoming progress!

Hi there! It's me again!

(Apologies if my wording sounds a bit weird or incorrect, trust me, as a non - native English speaker, I'm doing my best to say/write here all the thoughts in my head while also making sure that it does make sense.)

Its been almost half a year since the last update of this game (current version v1.3) and I'm pretty sure many of you are wondering about what kind of future the project is going after.  What I can only assure to my small followers is that the game will continue  to the very end and I will not stop until it is not finished, though I cannot confidently say when or when it will happen, I'll make sure that promises will be kept.

WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU AND TO DWELLING NIGHTMARES?

Long story short, I've become busy with my real work outside the boundaries of game making (as this only serves as my hobby). Aside from that, the laptop I'm using to work with the project met a somewhat unfortunate fate that led to this procrastination. (Though not necessarily a real procrastination as you might think). Luckily enough, all the files used to create the game has been saved via a backup I made during the development of this project.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THIS PROJECT?

Expect that I will give my very best to continue the story and improve the game overall as now I have a bit of free time to work on the upcoming updates and fix bugs if there are still some left within the demo. I have made a few revises here and there in order to make the story more interesting, engaging and unique so that players will not find it a bit similar to many other RPG MAKER HORROR game titles.

ANY IMPORTANT UPDATES ?

Well there is, er-I mean, there are many important updates that I would love to discuss in this DEVLOG especially the output/platform in which the game can be played or rather will be available. It has previously come to my attention that the file limitation for a web browser type of game is very limited, if not lacking in order to fully materialize the potential of my project. (As I still have many things in mind to add to it in the future.) So I have decided that once the demo version of the game reached its final stage, I will focus on developing a downloadable version of the game instead in order to satisfy the need and lessen the restrictions. In this manner, I'll be able to add more contents that will make the game much more fun to play, rather than stick to an all - rounder type of web browser game that lacks "spark" that many people nowadays want.

To summarize, the demo version will be available as a web browser game but the upcoming updates/progress and the full game will only be released as a downloadable version. Meaning, the final product of the game will only be playable in PC and LAPTOP in the future. Yeah I know, It is a hard decision that I have decided to risk in order to meet the necessary advantages for my game to cope up with the much more awesome games out there.

As a final note in this long and boring log, I will add helpful functions to the demo version of the project before progressing the downloadable version of the game. This is to make sure that the demo also contains the best effort and quality in touch so that players can enjoy  it as well as the future downloadable version.  For now, those functions are still under development and will be posted as changelog once finished.

I would like to thank you reader if you managed to reach the end of this devlog, I hope that you'll keep your hopes up for the game and I'll make sure to bring the best quality update once it is finished.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING THIS LOG!

Cheers! :)
